Higher Level Teaching Assistant

You must be strong in Maths and English, confident supporting Year 5 and Year 6 pupils, and able to deliver clear, structured support that helps children close gaps in learning.\n\nYou will be working closely with class teachers to identify pupils who need additional support, deliver targeted sessions and help prepare pupils for key assessments. The successful HLTA will be proactive, reliable and confident managing small groups.\n\nThe ideal HLTA will have:\n\nExperience working in a primary school\nStrong knowledge of the Year 5 and Year 6 curriculum\nConfidence supporting Maths and English\nExperience delivering interventions or booster sessions\nGood behaviour management\nThe ability to work independently and use initiative\nPrevious HLTA experience or experience covering pre-planned lessonsThis is a great opportunity for an experienced HLTA who enjoys working with upper KS2 pupils and wants a focused role where they can genuinely support progress in Maths and English.\n\nThe school are keen to meet someone as soon as possible, so please get in touch if you are available for interview.\n\nPlease call Aaron at Remedy Education to discuss this HLTA role.\n\nHLTA - Year 5/6 Maths and English Support - Barking
