Mobile Technical Operative - Mechanical Bias\n\nGreater Manchester - City of Manchester\n\n£37,000 plus Van + Fuel card\n\nBrief\n\nMobile Technical Operative needed for a well-known, large Facilities Management organisation based in Manchester who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Mobile Technical Operative that takes pride in their work with an in-depth knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of Mechanical and Electrical building services.\n\nThe successful candidate would desirably have a relevant qualification - i.e. City & Guilds Mechanical Engineering Services NVQ Level 2 or Higher etc. - and have a keen interest in Technical Operations.

If you have commercial experience in Mechanical Engineering that would be a plus!\n\nBenefits\n\nSalary: £37,000 per annum plus Van + Fuel Card\n24 days' holiday\nLife Cover equivalent to 1.5 times annual salary \nEmployee discount shopping schemes for major brands and retailers \nGym membership discounts \nCycle to work scheme \nHoliday purchase scheme \n2 corporate social responsibility days per year \nBroad range of learning opportunities, such as professional qualifications, collective/individual training, and personalized support programmes \nAttractive Employee Referral Rewards Scheme \n24/7 Employee Assistance Program and access to mental wellbeing app \n\nWhat the role entails:\n\nSome of the main duties of the Mobile Technical Operative will include:\n\nEnsure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and CAFM.\nEnsure that reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.\nEnsure that plant faults and defects are always swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order.\nEnsure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works.\nTo provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.\nCarry out Mechanical Engineering tasks.\nFault finding, minor repairs and installation alongside general maintenance services.The position will require you to provide engineering support in emergency situations to ensure business and operational continuity.\n\nWhat experience you need to be the successful Mobile Technical Operative:\n\nDesired Circa 5 years relevant experience working as a Mechanical Engineer within a FM environment\nCity and Guilds - Mechanical Engineering Services NVQ Level 2 or higher.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.\nProactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.\nHave good IT and report writing skills. \n\nThis really is a fantastic opportunity for a Mobile Technical Operative to progress their career.
